The JV girls basketball team had a very impressive win last night against the USA Patriots.  A swarming defense was the catalyst to the victory.  After an 8-8 score to start the game the girls went on a 31-8 run the final three quarters to beat the Patriots 39-16.  What an exciting game once again.  Leading the way for the Warriors was Maggie Koroleski with 10 points, 9 steals, and 5 assists, Grace Knoblock with 8 points and 8 rebounds, Emma Hyzer with 7 points and 3 steals, Emma Case with 6 points and 7 rebounds, Carlee Scoviac with 4 points, and Michaella Vyt-Norton and Sara Koth with 2 points each.  It was a total team effort and a fun game to watch.  Tonight the girls play Kingston at home starting at 3:30.  Come out and watch this impressive team play.

Next up was a combined 7th and 8th grade team.  They also defeated the Wildcats with a score of 34-7.  The girls played another extremely strong defensive game that gave Mayville fits all evening long.  Scoring leaders on the night were Ana Champagne with 10 followed by Dana Koth and Molly Buchotlz with 6, Jenna Schornack with 4 and the ZImmerman combo of Jentry and Riley each with 2.  Great job to both teams!
